Round One
Here's a recap of the action as Scarlett and Rainbow Blight went bicep to bicep in the first round.

Betting = Winning

Normally when you bet money on a sport, you win your money back plus some when your team or player wins. Not so in the land of lady arm wrestling.
Let us explain.
The money you bet on our wrestlers all goes toward a good cause. Each event, we pick a new charity to sponsor. This time around it's N Street Village.
Your generosity (or is it your gambling addiction?) makes this all worthwhile. So we'd hate to see you leave a DCLAW match without a chance to win a prize.
At the end of each match-up, the person who has bet the most money on the winning wrestler will win a prize.

For June 11's bout, our prizes will include:
- DCLAW swag
- a hair cut from Aveda Bethesda
- an Arbonne gift certificate
- two Redskins tickets
- a photo session with Sweet Lime Portrait Design

Meet the Wrestlers: Black and Deck Her

Last but not least!
Black and Deck Her was born and raised in the Dirty South and has been cleaning up the world around her ever since. She developed a reputation in her tender youth for mopping the floor with thugs and sweeping them up with the trash. Over the years, her grime-fighting activities became so rampant that she had to discard her traditional mop and broom for electric tools and battery packs. Black and Deck Her even lugs the occasional power tool for hard to remove “pains.” At 120V, she runs at full capacity and is quick to blow a fuse. Griminals beware!

Meet the Wrestlers: Rainbow Blight

Introducing the seventh out of eight who will compete Saturday.
In a faraway place, right at the end of the rainbow, there is a magical kingdom where all the colors of the earth are created. Living in this wonderful place is a lovable, somewhat troubled little girl named Rainbow Blight. She uses the colors of the rainbow and her raw bicep strength to make the world brighter before she crushes all who cross her path.

Meet the Wrestlers: Rosie the Ravager

The sixth of eight wrestlers set to test her might on Saturday!
An all-American girl, Rosie’s known best for heeding the call to arms and trading in her spatula for a riveter during the war. Those years of factory work have transformed Rosie into one tough cookie with rugged determination and chiseled biceps. Willing to do anything for victory, she once assembled a whole plane by hand in one day and then piloted it across the Atlantic to the front lines. Tonight, the war is on again and Rosie says she can do it!

Meet the Wrestlers: Aussie Osbourne

The fifth of eight lady wrestlers to take the stage Saturday!
Aussie Osbourne is an Australian singer-songwriter, whose arm-wrestling career has overshadowed her vocal talents for decades. Aussie has dominated the competition on the
daunting Pacific Rim circuit and has recently landed in North America. Word is Aussie had to skip country to escape pending competitor cruelty charges which stemmed from an incident at the always contentious OZ –Kiwi Smackdown Challenge when an enraged Aussie tried to bite the head off one of her Kiwi competitors. Watch out for Aussie - Don't be fooled by the big hair: her bite is worse than her bark - and that is saying
something!

Meet the Wrestlers: Scarlett O'Scara

The fourth of eight lady wrestlers set to razzle and dazzle on Saturday night!
Originally from the great state of Georgia, Ms. O'Scara was conceived in an unholy union between her father and a Nepalese mountain goat. Scarlette grew up thinking all a woman needed to be successful was an 18 inch waist, but years of being passed around from man to man to goat taught her the only thing she can count on is herself. A force of shear determination, she cultivated her brute strength by dragging the carcass of a dead mule around the pastures of her back 40. Now, men cower and babies cry at the sight of her. Don't ever criticize her sweet tea, or she'll beat you down with a curtain rod.

Meet the Wrestlers: Bocce Balboa

Meet the third of eight ladies who will take to the stage Saturday night!
Trained to eat lightening and crap thunder, Bocce Balboa has been spending the better part of her adult life tossing balls and taking names. Armed with a lethal left-handed grip, and the largest, hardest set of balls in arm wrestling today, Bocce Balboa is here tonight to go the distance and take another title back to her hometown of Philadelphia. The difficult and strenuous sport of bocce ball, otherwise known as lawn bowling, has groomed this Italian Philly into one fierce contender ready to make her D/CLAW debut and wipe the canvas clean with her competition.

Meet the Wrestlers: Top Guns

The second of eight ladies who will engage in the battle for the Golden Bicep on June 11.
Top Guns joins us having graduated number 1 in her class from the elite Naval Advanced Wresting School. She is known for her impressive and aggressive wresting style, but you may have also heard of her sizable ego. She lives the fast life and enjoys romantic flings with her instructors. Not only will she take your breath away, she’ll take your arm away if you’re not careful. When asked if she plans to go easy on the ladies June 11, she responded, "Negative Ghostrider." Honors and Accolades include but are not limited to “Adult Chicken Fighter of the Year” and “You Can’t Throw Me Off This Mechanical Bull Award.”

Meet the Wrestlers: Princess "Lay-Ya" Down

Introducing the first of eight ladies who will battle for the Golden Bicep on June 11.
"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."
It is a period of civil war. Rebel DCLAW spaceships, striking from a hidden base [at the American Legion], have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel DCLAW spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Death CLAW, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Lay-Ya Down races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy. In her perilous journey, she will face three agents of the Empire in a battle of strength and fortitude. Together with her faithful entourage, she will use the force to take down her opponents, bring support and resources to the N Street Village and promote freedom and happiness throughout DC.
